Calling all brave ones!

Have you ever reupholstered a couch? I haven't been brave enough to try yet, but this couch is such a screaming deal, it would certainly tempt me to give it a shot. I absolutely love the feet. I think if it were me, I might go white and paint the feet black.

oh brave one - this is a nonbrave one here - I havent reupholstered a couh - but this is one lovely couch...

Would you consider cost wise taking it to the upholsterer and get him to do a fabulous job ?

Cost-wise, hiring someone to do the job of upholstery can actually make the cost of your couch more expensive than buying a new one. So unless your piece is quite sentimental or valuable because of its pedigree, if you are trying to cut costs, professional re-upholstery doesn't necessarily save money. If I could afford it, I'd always choose that route though so that my furniture can be unique.

Watch for a new post coming soon that will link to DIY re-upholstery sites.

Thanks for the comment!
